DNA - The Promise and the Price, is a Lion TV two-part-documentary with titles, graphics and visual effects from Skaramoosh. For the titles, a real baby was filmed holding a model of the DNA helix, finished on a combination of Hal and Avid DS. The 3D sequences were inspired by imagery taken from electron microscopes. The project was designed and directed by Piers Helm, the 3D team was headed up by Sebastian Read, with compositing by Zave Jackson and Anthony Smith. The programme, which airs on 6 April on Discovery, includes a sequence where parents of the future use a computer to design their baby.
